We kicked of our The Coolest series with some amazing libraries from around the world.
This series is all about a different kind of relaxation, namely, swimming pools.
There are some real beauties in this list and they make me long for Spring.
My favorite is the Serengeti one, as it's not just about the pool for me, but also the surroundings in which it is set.

Located on Avenida Vieira Souto in the heart of Ipanema beach, Hotel Fasano Rio de Janeiro combines the glamour and sophistication of Rio’s most coveted address with the Fasano commitment to excellence. In his first hotel architecture project, Philippe Starck chose to reflect the heyday of the Bossa Nova era in the 50’s and 60‘s, when Ipanema blossomed into the city’s most charming neighborhood. The unique view comprises the Morro Dois Irmãos, the Arpoador and Corcovado in one sweeping landscape.

The Kings Pond Hualalai, Hawaii
In the northernmost crescent of the Resort sits King’s Pond, a 1.8-million gallon “aquarium" carved out of the natural lava rock. With over 3,000 tropical fish from more than 75 species swimming freely (including a spotted eagle ray) this is certainly the most colorful pool anywhere.
